SMS was founded on July 3, 2001 by Ronnie and Patti Scott. The company name originally was Scott Meter Service. This laid the foundation for what would develop into a corporation specializing in several services for the oil and gas industry. In October 2008 the company was restructured. The new name of the corporation became Scott Measurement Service. We presently service West Texas, the Barnett Shale Fort Worth area and the Eagle Ford Shale San Antonio region.
